Charles predominantly teaches a swing generated on a pivot motion. The key he says is to start with fundamentals, move to good balance, and not to have too many swing thoughts at address which can lead to anxiety. Charles started golf at the age of 13 as a caddie. At 14 he began his golf career at high school, and followed this trajectory to college golf. He then transitioned to the Air Force, but at 24 he began to play professional golf. Charles has played many mini-tour and State Open events - as well as two Senior Opens and two senior qualifying schools. If that was not enough, he has also competed in long drive competitions against nationally ranked long drivers - where his best result was a 2nd place finish with a 338 yard drive!
